Working on my first real oil painting (other than a few 3-hour portraits). Got some hours in on this one, and some yet to go. 12”x36”.
So I brought my laptop and tablet to figure drawing yesterday for the first time. Not as intuitive a switch as I’d thought it would be. Even though I gravitate more toward digital, I feel more competent with a pencil. Maybe it’s just a matter of practice? Isabel (sp?) from yesterday and Xuxa from a few weeks ago.
Hmph. I’ve been slacking and therefore not learning much. Here’s a 30-minute spitpainting (“tree cathedral”) and its 3+ hour result.
How those line drawings are looking screened onto ceramic tiles (not fired yet) and another potential set of them.
A few things that may become things. Or not. The mask one is an altered version (abridged, if you will [and I know you will]) of something else that means something else that will become something else.
